The Technology

Excelevision^tm utilizes a satellite distribution system similar to “Dish Network” and “Direct TV” combined with specially designed video servers and interactive software.  Video content is encoded as digital files and then transmitted via satellite with routing instructions and play lists.  When the new material arrives at the business location, it is then routed to the designated application.   Computer server/receivers and a satellite dish will reside at each business location and will be automatically updated with a play list and new material each week.  

Inside the business an independent local area network will distribute programming and screen menu information to touch screens for customer and employee learning.  Each touch screen incorporates its own PC that is designed to not only play video, but also to be interactive.

Live telecasts arrive as video broadcasts from the satellite.  When the server/receivers detect a live signal, they switch to direct mode and present content from the corporate office.  StagePost will provide and install a mini studio that is easy to operate with the included training.

Excelevision^tm operates independently from the companies computer network.  A series of tracking reports on audio and video playback, content selection, number of training sessions, number of sequences played, as well as traffic in and out of the branch are key components within the system.  The tracking features also include the ability to monitor the audio and the video operations in real time to ensure proper functionality.
